Learn to create a mask through an exciting series of techniques using organic, non-toxic, and recycled materials, leading to an expressive mask that can be used for theatre or on display!
With Matt Jackson, a professional mask and puppet maker working in theater and film for almost 20 years.
Techniques and materials used:
- creating a plaster cast of your own face
- sculpting in clay
- preparing animal and starch-based glues
- paper-mache using recycled papers
- painting with glue mixtures
You will complete the workshop with a
finished mask and a plaster copy of your face to use for future masks!
